Cold rolled heat treated 75ni8 steel strip coil and plate

75Ni8 is a low alloy tool steel containing nickel, with good hardness, strength and wear resistance. It is often used to manufacture high-demand tools and precision parts.

Material standard:

75Ni8 (DIN 1.5634, AISI L2).

Chemical composition (typical):

Carbon (C): 0.75%
Nickel (Ni): 1.8%
Manganese (Mn): 0.30-0.50%
Silicon (Si): 0.25-0.40%
Sulfur (S): ≤ 0.025%
Phosphorus (P): ≤ 0.025%

Mechanical properties (after heat treatment):

Tensile Strength: 800-1200 MPa (depending on the specific heat treatment process)
Hardness: 58-62 HRC (quenching + tempering)
Elongation: ≥ 8%
Yield Strength: 500-800 MPa

Heat treatment process:

Annealing: Soften the material and improve the machinability. The annealing temperature is about 820-860°C and cool slowly.
Quenching: Heat to 780-810°C and oil cool. The hardness after quenching can reach 58-62 HRC.
Tempering: Usually carried out at 150-250°C to improve toughness and reduce brittleness.
