High-precision scalpel blade steel strip in medical-grade AISI 420J2, SUS301, or SUS304—engineered for superior sharpness, durability, and consistency in surgical blade manufacturing.

Available Grades

AISI 420J2 (DIN 1.4028): High-carbon martensitic stainless steel; achieves HRC 52–56 after heat treatment—most widely used for surgical blades

SUS 301 / AISI 301: Austenitic grade with excellent work-hardening properties, suitable for specialized flexible blade designs

SUS 304 / AISI 304: General-purpose medical stainless steel with superior corrosion resistance for non-cutting precision components

  • Width: 5 mm – 200 mm (slitting to custom widths available)
  • Surface Finish: 2B, BA (Bright Annealed), HL (Hairline); surface roughness Ra ≤ 0.1 μm (polishing on request)
  • Edge Condition: Mill edge or slit edge (deburred, burr-free)
  • Temper: Annealed (soft), 1/2 Hard, Full Hard
  • Tolerances: Thickness ±0.005 mm, Width ±0.05 mm (high-precision option)
